Fit is good. Got this for hot weather, which we've had none of yet. Patiently waiting to give it a try out. Service and shipping were excellent.

I would buy more and recommend it to others
Love the feel, the only issue I have with it is the mesh on the inside. I have a shaved head, so the mesh makes for normal adjusting as it seems to ride up the crown of my head often. Overall a great hat and will more than size up on my next purchase.
Ok overall this is decent head heart. Love the tricolor look. Biggest reason I bought it. But there is one major issue. The bill is to thin. It does not form well. It needs to be stiffer. The second thing i would recommend, is maybe getting rid of the liner. Up here in Wyoming don't see it needed. But love your products. Keep them coming. ~ Hi Jake, Thank you for the great feedback! We are happy to pass this along to our design team. SK~
Great product. I have 3 others!
I hike in the woods where bugs and gnats can be a real problem. This hat compliments my hooded bug-repellant wind breaker hood perfectly. The bill provides the shade without making my head hot. When the bug netting is needed, it keeps it out of my face without requiring a bulkier hat.
Somewhat disappointed with this cap. Crown is too tall and falls down on my ears. I prefer shallow crowns but it seems like every cap I buy has a different crown height. Not consistent production standards. Sizing also seems to vary among hats (i.e not all 7-1/4's fit the same). ~ Hi Dave, We're sorry to hear that the Trail cap didn't meet your expectations. We'd like to discuss this further, please feel free to send our CS team an email at [email protected]. SK~
appears to be thin nylon with mesh liner. I am disappointed with it. Not a real StormyKromer in my opinion. ~ Hi Dale, Our Trail Cap is a 100% ripstop with washable wax and the inner lining is a nylon/spandex mesh lining. This cap is geared towards warmer months, as wool can be a little warm for some folks. We're sorry this cap wasn't for you. We are happy to accept an exchange or return as long as the item is new/unworn with tags attached within 90 days of purchase. SK ~
Review of Stormy Kromer Trail Cap My recent purchase of a Stormy Kromer Trail Cap completes a trifecta of perfect hats. Perfect in more ways than one. I now have all 4 seasons covered with three hats. My first Stormy Kromer hat was your Original wool hat, and is my winter go to hat. Next I purchased a Waxed Cotton Cap which I use for Spring and Fall rainy and windy days. Now I have the Summer covered with my light weight Trail Cap. I would like to explain why they are the perfect choice for me. I have two Cochlear Implants, which allow me to hear. Cochlear implants are like hearing aids with a behind-the-ear processor to bring in the sound, but they attach to the side of my head with a round magnet about the size of a quarter. The thickness of the magnets on both sides of my head makes fitting a hat correctly a very precise thing. (The sizing guide and the included measuring tape gave me the perfect size.) The hat’s unique pull-down over the ears flap solves two unique problems I encounter frequently. First is the sound on a windy day makes it impossible to hear outside. I only hear the wind and not someone talking. The ear flap blocks the wind and still allows me to hear people. The second problem is the rain. Even a drop of rain falling on the microphone of the processor can “short it out,” and then I am completely deaf until I can dry out the processor. This has happened several times when I ventured out in the rain without proper protection. And, of course, the visor of the hat blocks the glare from the sun, which has been more of a problem since my cataract surgery. Trifecta of problems: wind, rain, and sun. Solved by a trifecta of perfect hats: Original wool, Waxed Cotton Cap, and Trail Cap. Thank you, Stormy Kromer!
