I ordered the hat thru Cabelas’s. I was under the impression that you could tie the hat under your chin so it wouldn’t blow off of your head. Why does the Mackinaw cost more then the original hat. I didn’t know their was a difference in construction and it their is what the difference. ~~The hats can be tightened via the tie on the earband for a snugger fit so they don't blow off. The Mackinaw Cap is 100% wool and the Originals are wool blends. This accounts for the difference in price. SK~~

When I found out my husband had always wanted a Stormy Kromer cap, I knew what I would get him for Christmas. He loves it! Even though I was able to get his hat size, I was nervous given some of the reviews, but he reports it fits perfect. He wears it every chance he has.

Very Pleased with my second SK, have the Midway as well. Thought this one was a bit small compared my Midway so I stretched the band out with my fist a bit. Most impressed here with the Black/Gray Plaid. So handsome with that Night Stalker look.

Just got this in the mail today and I love it already, the fit is perfect, I was just between sizes so ordered the next size up (7-1/2) ...the fact that it's made in the USA and especially in Michigan is the icing on the cake...Thank you for an awesome product!

This purchase is one of 4 SK hats I bought over time: 1 Rancher, 1 Trapper and 2 originals. This latest one however was disappointing. While the color is a vivid green buffalo plaid, the fabric itself is comparatively thin and flimsy. That may explain why the price is about the same as the previous one I got 2-3 years ago: the price didn’t go up like other other market items, it appears the quality instead went down.
