I own two Kromers, one traditional black and one tan. I don't see the tan color anymore. Also, my black has the Stormy Kromer and date in back but my tan one does not. I bought the tan one about 15 years ago. I guess it's a collector's item now.Both are the warmest caps you can wear and tough as a rangy bull pissed at being in a squeeze chute. -TJ Ranch in Texas

I love this cap! It fits perfectly and it's comfortable! Another big bonus(and important to me) is that it is made in America! You can spend 20-25 bucks for a baseball cap easily, but they are disposable and don't keep your head warm. Earlier this winter I bought a red plaid Original cap. My first impression was good, and the fit was good - most caps are too small, but the XXL is roomy enough. I took it out in -10F and pulled the earband down, but after a while I found that I would have needed a wider earband and thicker cloth. For that purpose the Mackinaw cap supposedly would be better. However, the deep cold has left, and at 20F, the cap is good and warm enough. -Pete the Swede
