Bought my original kromer from the stormy kromer page on the Amazon website. Instead of my purchase arriving to my home nicely boxed, it arrived in a ripped bag. Water and dirt got into the bag, which resulted in my not having a nice new hat to wear for Christmas day. No family pictures around the tree with the hat on. Luckily I had my old kromer otherwise I'd have been shoveling outside hatless. As a customer, we treasure the whole unboxing and wearing of the new hat at present opening. I just never got that experience. It's a great hat but it feels used to me, there's just no way to explain it. I hope that maybe they'll standardize the way their hats are shipped, to match what we as customers expect from such a great company. Hi Tom - I'm very sorry you had this experience. Unfortunately we don't sell directly via Amazon and can't control how our various retailers package and ship products. If you'd like to be sure you are getting product directly from our factory, you should order from this site. Our caps always ship in boxes. I would also leave this feedback on Amazon where it can be seen by the people who packaged it.
