at first i thought the string bow in the front was silly, but after wearing the hat, on a cold morning day. it was very warm, the ear flaps were very welcome. its a great piece of cold weather gear, sadly as it warmed up in the day i found it far to warm.

I've always loved the style and functionality of the original Kromer cap, but some times the ear flaps just didn't fit the intensity of the wind. This Midway Cap does the trick for those wintry winds though!

This hat reminds me of my first Kromer where the sides pulled down for your ears.

Everything I expected! Classic good look and quality. I like that it is "midway" between insulated and non insulated.
