Just as the name suggests, the Midway Cap offers warmth between the Original and the Rancher. It isn't insulated, but its longer, fleece-lined earbands provide more coverage than the Original without the added warmth of the Rancher.
Yes. The Midway's longer, fleece-lined earbands provide more ear coverage than the Original while maintaining a lighter, uninsulated design.
Use a soft tape measure to measure around your head where you like your hat to sit. Divide that measurement by 3.14 (π), then round up to the nearest 1/8. This is your Stormy Kromer hat size. If you don't have a tape measure, you can also use a piece of string and measure it against a ruler. Please remember that these hats generally do not stretch over time. If your measurement falls between sizes, or if you prefer a looser fit, we recommend sizing up.
Dry cleaning is the best way to care for your Midway Cap. For small spills or stains, spot cleaning is often enough. If your cap gets wet from rain or snow, let it air dry naturally away from direct heat or sunlight. Never put your wool cap in the dryer, as the heat can cause it to shrink.

This is my 4th Stormy Kromer cap and they nailed it as the perfect mid-winter cap. The extra weight and longer earflaps are not only warmer but allow the cap to still be stylish and not bulky. This will be a clear winner for years to come !

Love the new midway cap because it’s just warm enough and I can cover my ears. This is my 4th cap from SK and I love doing business with them and I want to support their great products that are manufactured here in America from a small U.S. business.

Also Love the Adriondak Plaid. The red and Green striping is so cool. Mine came a little oversized I believe for a 7 1/2, but I am so happy with that for this particular hat. It’s like wearing a soft cozy helmet.

This is my favorite SK cap , it’s the same as the original but with longer pull downs for your ears , I love the original cap also , I think the original might look slightly better on my head, but the midway is better for functionality. We really need this hat in blaze orange for hunting season please.

I already had the Original and the Rancher, but this Midway is by far my favorite. The Original is very comfortable, but the ear flaps don't cover my ears completely. Iowa winters are fierce, so that doesn't always work. The Rancher fixes that, but if I'm working outside, it can be too warm. I always wished I could get a combination, and now I have exactly that! The Midway is perfect for most days. My ears stay warm, I don't overheat, and it is just as comfortable as the original. You guys knocked it out of the park with this one!
