  • The Midway Cap fills the gap between the Original and the Rancher. Like the Original, it's uninsulated. Like the Rancher, it has longer, fleece-lined earbands for added coverage. It's the perfect choice for those who want more ear coverage than the Original without stepping up to an insulated Rancher.

  • Just as the name suggests, the Midway Cap offers warmth between the Original and the Rancher. It isn't insulated, but its longer, fleece-lined earbands provide more coverage than the Original without the added warmth of the Rancher.

  • Yes. The Midway's longer, fleece-lined earbands provide more ear coverage than the Original while maintaining a lighter, uninsulated design.

  • Use a soft tape measure to measure around your head where you like your hat to sit. Divide that measurement by 3.14 (π), then round up to the nearest 1/8. This is your Stormy Kromer hat size. If you don't have a tape measure, you can also use a piece of string and measure it against a ruler. Please remember that these hats generally do not stretch over time. If your measurement falls between sizes, or if you prefer a looser fit, we recommend sizing up.

  • Dry cleaning is the best way to care for your Midway Cap. For small spills or stains, spot cleaning is often enough. If your cap gets wet from rain or snow, let it air dry naturally away from direct heat or sunlight. Never put your wool cap in the dryer, as the heat can cause it to shrink.

    I have an Original in Orange. Please make the Midway in Orange so I can cover my ears on cold days while deer or bird hunting.

    The midway and the rancher were the first 2 I bought have since gotten an original and another rancher the midway is by far my favorite just wish they offered the midway in more colors! Other than that I love all 4 of the ones I own !

    This was the first stormy I ever bought and I am hooked! Love this cap. So warm and well made. Nothing like a product made in the good old USA! Just bought my second stormy last weekend. Waxed canvas, this material is awesome. Love the way it repells water. I'm a customer for life! Thank you for making such an awesome product!!

    The ear flaps are easy to use. They go up and down with ease. I just wish they fully retracted.

    This is the 8th Stormy I own. I looked at the Rancher for a few years but felt for my application it was a bit to robust. The Midway is what the name implies. I could not be more pleased with the cap. You will not go wrong with the purchase

    Please make this in blaze orange for bird hunting!... it would be the perfect bridge between the original and the rancher which is too warm when walking

    It would be great if the Midway series be made in orange for the bird hunters and deer hunters. The Rancher is great, but can be way too warm.
