The Midway Cap fills the gap between the Original and the Rancher. Like the Original, it's uninsulated. Like the Rancher, it has longer, fleece-lined earbands for added coverage. It's the perfect choice for those who want more ear coverage than the Original without stepping up to an insulated Rancher.
Just as the name suggests, the Midway Cap offers warmth between the Original and the Rancher. It isn't insulated, but its longer, fleece-lined earbands provide more coverage than the Original without the added warmth of the Rancher.
Yes. The Midway's longer, fleece-lined earbands provide more ear coverage than the Original while maintaining a lighter, uninsulated design.
Use a soft tape measure to measure around your head where you like your hat to sit. Divide that measurement by 3.14 (π), then round up to the nearest 1/8. This is your Stormy Kromer hat size. If you don't have a tape measure, you can also use a piece of string and measure it against a ruler. Please remember that these hats generally do not stretch over time. If your measurement falls between sizes, or if you prefer a looser fit, we recommend sizing up.
Dry cleaning is the best way to care for your Midway Cap. For small spills or stains, spot cleaning is often enough. If your cap gets wet from rain or snow, let it air dry naturally away from direct heat or sunlight. Never put your wool cap in the dryer, as the heat can cause it to shrink.

Do not buy one of these in plaid. They do not do plaid matching and take no responsibility if they send you a really goofy looking cap. I bought the red plaid and the cap I got looked like a clowns hat. I sent them a picture of it and they said nothing was wrong with it. I could have sent it back at my expense but then I would have had 16-18 dollars wasted on nothing. They talk about standing behind their products and buying american for quality, but they aren’t there when you need them. I have had no problems with their solid color caps, but buy plaid at your own risk! ~ Hi Gregg, In order to get the most use of our fabric, we do not match plaids on our caps. We are happy to accept a return/exchange as long as the cap is new/unworn within 90 days of purchase. We recommend using the postal service as it will be the most cost efficient if you opt to send it into us for a return or exchange.

Sharp looking (red) Midway cap. Not shure about the length of that piece that hangs down around the cap. It Barely covers the top of my ears. Wished it came down longer, and /or, was removable.
