The Waxed Rancher Cap

This is my second waxed cotton rancher cap and i bought one for my son. So yes, I highly recommend this well built cap.. I will say that if you intend to be in rainy or snowy areas, i suggest ordering a can of the TexWax refinishing wax SK sells and applying a coat. Maybe its just me, but i prefer a heavier coating of wax. THIS WILL DARKEN THE COLOR THOUGH. but i actually like the darker colors, especially on my new Gamekeeper camo waxed cotton rancher. And i know it will shed water well.

I’ve worn these hats for years. Love them. This is my first rancher. Appears great. Call me in 5 or 10 years and I’ll tell you if I still like it!

Wear it everyday out to the barn

I just received this as a Christmas gift, and I gotta say, if they Wise Men were truly as smart as people say, they'd have been wearing Stormy Kromer Ranchers! This hat keeps my melon warmer than a baby asleep in a hay-filled manger, and looks better'n a barn full o' smilin' angels! No room at the inn? No problem! Just fold down them ear flaps and settle in fer a long winter's nap anywhere you find yourself holed up, and your ears and head will feel like they's tucked away in your mama's kitchen on baking day.

Great hat, very warm. It runs about 1/8" big. I wear a size 7 (baseball hat/SK) and this is just a bit too big.

I have wanted a Stormy cap for a long time. The quality is what I hoped for, and I am wearing it every day now. Made in America Rules.

I normally wear a 7 in regular SK hats and I ordered this in a 7 as well, but it is 1/8 too big. Not a huge deal but if I had to order again I would go smaller. Other than that...perfection.

I purchased this hat along with the marsh cap. Both were ordered in size L. The marsh cap fits snug while the rancher is loose. If I send it back and order the next size down, it's going to be way too small to wear. The waxed rancher, like all of the Kromer hats, is very high quality and will last for years. But this sizing sucks. Go back to old way of sizing using actual numbers and not bunch several sizes into a single group like L.
