An absolutely great hat! This is my go-to hat for those cold blustery Michigan winter days & nights. I have owned some other popular name-brand wool hats, but this one's by far the best. Mine is black, but I see that you now have blaze orange available.... I'll be buying one of those next. -Jim Geister

Hello- Bought my stormy ranch cap before hunting season. My backyard is the eastern sierra, Owens valley in California. It was cold enough up in the mountains, but my Kromer ranch cap kept me plenty warm. Thank you for making an excellent product. Especially here is the U.S.A Regards, Mike Nolan -mike nolan

Best cap ever bought for cold windy day.Walking, bicycling ect...the cap stay tight on my head no mather the velocity of the wind.Tinsulate do a nice job to keep my head warm and confortable.I wish the ears flaps be thicker with insulation, but they are nice just like they are.It is not a surprise to say the construction is exceptionnal and the fit perfect.I bought a rancher 7 3/8 black.Thank to the staf of Stormy Kromer, good job!Jacques from CANADA. -Jacques Turcotte

I have used an original Kromer for several years now, and the only complaint I've ever had was that the ear covers were not long enough. This is the item I have always hoped for. My Father has worn Kromers for years, and alway touted them as being the best Winter hat.I found the Rancher at a gunshow yesterday, and couldn't be more pleased. I would ask that Kromer keep up the good work. Buying American is very important to me, and while this hat was double what you could get an alternative chinese made hat for. It is more than worth it.Jason Lower MI. -Your Name

This is my 6th Kromer--I have one brimless, 1 regular brim and 3 short brims (which you don't make anymore but should--they are the best bowhunting cap around!) This latest model, the Rancher, is soooooo warm--not just for Montana and Wyoming as it is touted, but prety great in a cold upstate NY kinda way, too. Highly recommend, especially if your ears need help in the cold. -Susan Moss

Received my rancher hat yesterday and went to the woods today. Thank you for a great hat ! Warm , comfortable, keeps the wind off the back of the neck and like all of your other hats very well made. Like the tag on the inside " Made in Michigan's Upper Peninsula USA ". Thank you for a great product and a very comfortable hunt today. -James R Shuler

First things first, I love the original Stormy Kromer cap. I have three of them, black, brown, and waxed cotton canvas. Great caps. But here's the thing, I live in Wisconsin. You know, land of the great white north. I also work part time on a horse farm. In cold, windy weather, sometimes the original 1903 cap is just not enough. I stopped by my friendly neighborhood Kromer retailer the other day when I noticed the "thickest" looking Kromer I'd ever seen. I picked it up. Hmmmm, what's this? "The Rancher" Insulated, long ear flap, heavy. Cool.....oops, I mean warm. Found one in my size and paid the modest bill. Next day out at the farm the wind picked up and blew in one of those patented mid-west "mini blizzards." The kind where you get white out conditions for twenty minutes. It's all good, I just dropped the longer flap on my new Rancher cap, and kept right on working. Great cap! Keep up the good work. And make the new Rancher cap in more colors so I can buy another one. Thanx, Jon. -Jon Cameron
