I went to a local supply store to purchase another Rancher cap. My son in law tried the cap on and was immediately impressed with the cap. I gave it to him - so another generation is still impressed with the functional and classic design. Again, my thanks for making a quality cap. -woody

Got my hat and was more than pleased with the quality of the hat, but what else do do you expect when it is made in the U.S.A.? The hat fits great and feels great. Want to thank the Stormy crew for doing such a great job and for taking pride int he workmanship. Will be purchasing a second hat for my father as he tried to claim my hat for himself when I opened the box. -Crazy Cowboy

Just broke out my Rancher for its second season. I got it as a gift from my wife who now wants one of her own. It is great for winter chores, x-country-skiing and snow shoeing. My head is always toasty and dry even with wind and snow. Workmanship and fit are great. Thanks! -Hawkeye

I have an original stormy kromer. Ear flaps were too short. So I sewed $2.00 of matching wool material from local fabric store with my sewing machine to extend. Works great! Flaps fold up nicely between when not needed. How come cost is nearly 25% more for Rancher vs. Original. And $5 more for orange? -Randy in Flagstaff

I got a Rancher for Christmas during the 2009 Christmas storm. We went out to shovel and my son was laughing because the cold wet snow had accumulated on my Rancher laden head. Didn't realize it and didn't care because I was warm and dry. It's like a big thick wool helmet that covers everything but your face. -Scott in Duluth

This is possibly the best winter cap ever invented, I have 4 other Stormy's and use them for light duty now. I had debated last year about getting the Rancher this year I did and am pleased it just throws rocks at any other dead winter cap I've ever owned. Don't be fooled about the weight or thickness claims their description is not the slightest bit exaggerated this is one heavy duty cap and don't think you will be able to sit with this cap on while getting coffee at the cafe after a hunting trip there is no chance. Unlike so many things anymore that don't live up to their billing the Stormy Rancher model does exactly what it was designed to do and more. -Quent Bromwell

My Stormy Kromer Rancher just showed up today, just as another Midwest blizzard was setting in on us. I've got two original Kromers, one for work and one for going to town, my only complaint is that the ear flaps were a bit to short for those cold nasty days, anyway I threw on my new Rancher headed out into the elements to push some snow, do my livestock chores and fill my outdoor stove for the night. Well my first experience with my Rancher was very positive, I was very satisfied with the fit (actually fits a little snugger than the Original, but in my case that's a good thing) It's so comfortable that I could wear it 24/7 but the problem with that is that this hat is the warmest thing that I've ever had on my head. So far I love it! -Travis Anderson
