No. The Rancher Cap is lined with soft cotton flannel, and the sweatband is made from a comfortable polycotton blend. The earbands are lined with fleece, so the wool outer shell never sits directly against your skin.
Use a soft tape measure to measure around your head where you like your hat to sit. Divide that measurement by 3.14 (π), then round up to the nearest 1/8. This is your Stormy Kromer hat size. If you don't have a tape measure, you can also use a piece of string and measure it against a ruler. Please remember that these hats generally do not stretch over time. If your measurement falls between sizes, or if you prefer a looser fit, we recommend sizing up.
Dry cleaning is the best way to care for your Rancher Cap. For small spills or stains, spot cleaning is often enough. If your cap gets wet from rain or snow, let it air dry naturally away from direct heat or sunlight. Never put your wool cap in the dryer, as the heat can cause it to shrink.

Hat is great, just like the other 7 hats that my boys and I have. Great quality but I found the sizing to be a little different. All my hats are a 7½ which is what I ordered in The (blaze orange) Rancher. I felt the hat was much larger than all of my other hats and didn't fit me very well. I'm hoping it shrinks a little bit as I wear it. I received it a few days before hunting season ended here in Maine and was excited to wear it and didn't want to deal with exchanging it. Pairs nicely with the Stormy Kromer (blaze orange) button up vest for cold days hunting where orange is necessary.

This is my 3rd stormy. Excellent hat, well made, great fit, keeps me warm while hunting and ice fishing and spring fishing. Highly recommend.

Bought this right before a South Dakota December pheasant hunt and so glad I did. -1 degree the first morning with 10-15mph winds. The hat was unbelievably warm and comfortable. It quickly became my favorite winter cap. Trust me, just order one. You will not regret it.

Some reviews have had size issues. A size larger works very well. I have always bought from the factory and customer service has been outstanding when needed.

I received my Rancher cap in a timely manner. It fits well. I have worn it daily here in Maine since receiving it. It is a great head warmer and keeps the back of my neck warm.

We ordered two sizes of this hat. A 7 1/8 and a 7 3/8. My son fr whom the 7 1/8 hat was bought fit into the 7 3/8 hat, while it was too small for me. Therefore we kept the 7 3/8hat for my sone and I returned the 7 1/8 hat. In the meantime, I bought a 7 5/8 hat which arrived today and it turned out to be too big. This is frustrating, although I strongly believe in buying "American made" and will return teh 7 5/8 and buy a 7 1/2 to replace it.

I just got back in from wearing it for the first time and I'm so impressed I'm buying another one! The one that I bought was the orange color for hunting because I wanted a hat with a bill after being tired of the sun in my eyes, and I noticed all the old timers wearing this style hat so I figured it had to be good. Decided to wear it while doing some yard work to test how warm it was actually going to be, my head was not only warm, but was sweating in very windy, and snowy 20 degree weather. I will be purchasing another one in a different color for general outside and around town use. Even though my wife isn't fond of the look I will be the one laughing with a warm head all winter long. Made in USA and right next door in Michigan (I am from Wisconsin) is also a huge plus to me!
