When the earbands are pulled down, they fully cover your ears and extend farther down the neck.

The Rancher Cap is built for people who put warmth and function first. Whether you're ice fishing, snow blowing, working outside, or simply refuse to let winter slow you down, the Rancher is built to keep you comfortable in harsh conditions.
No. The Rancher Cap is lined with soft cotton flannel, and the sweatband is made from a comfortable polycotton blend. The earbands are lined with fleece, so the wool outer shell never sits directly against your skin.
Use a soft tape measure to measure around your head where you like your hat to sit. Divide that measurement by 3.14 (π), then round up to the nearest 1/8. This is your Stormy Kromer hat size. If you don't have a tape measure, you can also use a piece of string and measure it against a ruler. Please remember that these hats generally do not stretch over time. If your measurement falls between sizes, or if you prefer a looser fit, we recommend sizing up.
Dry cleaning is the best way to care for your Rancher Cap. For small spills or stains, spot cleaning is often enough. If your cap gets wet from rain or snow, let it air dry naturally away from direct heat or sunlight. Never put your wool cap in the dryer, as the heat can cause it to shrink.

Quality is all you can say, from the craftsmanship of the cap to the personalized thank you note in the box. It’s one well crafted hat that will bring much warmth this winter and many more to come. My only wish is that I would have been smart enough to buy one 30 years earlier.

Fits perfect, Ordering was easy. Shipping was also great, updated at ALL points in shipping process. I just waited to long to order as the weather has improved and probably won't wear it this summer.

Love my new SK Rancher cap. It literally oozes quality. (Sorta like Marilyn Monroe 'oozing' femininity) It's warm, got it for the insulating factor. Even though this is a desert, it does get well below freezing at times. And when the earflap parts are pulled down, it covers my ears fully and stays on my head well....I have a regular SK cap, same size, and with my somewhat pointy head, have to keep pulling it down. I still don't think I'll be sticking my head out of a train locomotive anytime soon, really don't want to lose my investment. Great, classic styled cap.

Best cold weather cap for the money on the market today. My wife doesn’t like me to wear it out in public because of all the attention I get from the lady folk.

This cap is well made with excellent insulation for cold weather. The ear flap design is an improvement over the original Stormy Kromer cap. While this design works well on most days the only negative is that on windy days it allows cold air to get under the flaps. On cold days with little or no wind this is not an issue. Overall I am satisfied with my purchase and will recommend the rancher cap for cold weather.

Guess you could say I am very pleased,got a blaze orange last year for deer season and bought a grey one this year so one is just not enough
