The Northwoods Trapper Hat

Wife says its soft, snug, and warm.

I do not have a large head. The XL hat was tight on me. I've returned it and ordered a 2XL hat in its place, This new hat is only slightly larger than the XL, and I'm debating whether to return this one as well. It's a shame that your hats, which seem to be of high quality, run so small. I can't imagine how many returns you must get because of the sizing issue.

I haven’t ordered anything from this brand before this time. I didn’t know anything about this brand. Last week I lost my favorite trapper hat that my husband bought for me on a walk. I cried like crazy. I was super sad. My husband and I walked on the same route a few times until I gave up. I live in Minnesota I really need warm clothes and hat. I started to look for a new trapper hat that similar to my previous hat. I came across this hat and I decided to order it without high expectations because I didn’t think that I would find anything better than the previous one. When I received the package then tried it on. I’m so happy. The hat is so soft and comfortable. The cutting is so neat. I’m a perfectionist that it’s so hard to please. I still miss my previous hat because of the memories but I think this hat will definitely make me feel a lot better soon. I definitely will order more stuff from this brand again.

Forgot to add that while we love this hat and chose gray, this type seems to run small. Tape measure suggested large would have normally be the right size (he wears 7.5"), but ordered an XL to be safe. After trying it on we returned it for an XXL which is a better fit with room for a balaclava underneath if needed in extreme cold.

My guy loves this hat! We searched high and low for an authentic, old style, super warm trapper hat. He has already worn it in the cold before the snow squalls have hit! He especially likes that it comes from the UP of Michigan where he once worked in the field.

When the temp gets to be well below zero and the wind is blowing. THIS is the one to have. However, I would very much encourage to size up or find one at a local shop to try on first. According to Stormy's chart, I should have a large. However, I found one at a shop and tried it on. The large wouldn't even fit my head. So much so that it made me second guess my actual hat size. I re-measured, tried on a few other sizes in the original and I am definitely a 7 1/2. I ended up with an XL, which is still a bit more snug than I like, but its a much better fit than the XXL.

Nicely made in USA, this hat fits perfect, true to size and is toasty warm. Can't wait to try it out this winter camping.
