  • The Northwoods Trapper Hat is one of our warmest hats, with warmth comparable to our Rancher Cap. It features Lamilite® insulation and faux rabbit fur-lined earflaps that fully cover your ears and provide added protection around the neck.

  • The earflaps can be worn three ways. Snap them under your chin for maximum warmth, leave them down, or snap them on top of the hat when you don't need the extra coverage. Two snap positions under the chin let you adjust the fit for comfort.

  • First, determine your traditional hat size, then use our size chart to find the corresponding S-XXL size. Because of the trapper hat's design, the fit is more forgiving than our fitted caps while still providing excellent comfort and warmth.

  • No. The crown of the Northwoods Trapper Hat has a quilted nylon lining, and the earflaps are lined with soft faux rabbit fur. The wool outer shell provides warmth and durability, while the materials against your skin are designed for everyday comfort.

  • Dry cleaning is the best way to care for your Northwoods Trapper Hat. For small spills or stains, spot cleaning is often enough. If your hat gets wet from rain or snow, let it air dry naturally away from direct heat or sunlight. Never put your hat in the dryer, as the heat can cause the wool to shrink.

    My wife purchased the Northwoods Trapper Hat for me for Christmas. I have probably a dozen other Stormy Kromers and the Trapper Hat is by far the warmest hat I've worn. Just got done plowing snow with my tractor with minus 10 temperatures. Excellent and warm Hat.

    I ordered this trapper hat in December not knowing that there would be two snow storms coming to Tennessee in the same week. This hat was my best friend! It fit perfectly (I used your guide), and it kept my head incredibly warm and dry. I love, love, love it! Thank you!

    Great hat that kept me warm in -24 degree Fahrenheit temperatures while ice fishing. My only complaint is the inside lining of the hat is too big causing it to bunch up about two or three inches on top. I also like it is made in America.

    I like how you can still hear well while your head and ears are protected. Comfortable with the flaps buttoned up as well.

    This hat hugs your head! Very comfortable and worth the investment. I appreciate the quality of the material and it definitely is a level up from other bomber style hats that we found. Love it!
