I can't tell they are seconds. Great idea for mittens; however, if they are not meant for ladies I didn't know that. I chose small and the length is huge..after a few minutes out in the snow they are also not warm enough to play in the snow with. I bought my first pair of stormy Kromer mittens about 7 years ago. Life happened, and I lost them a couple of years ago. That was a real tragedy, my hands have not been warm during winter since. I have bought kinco, Columbia, various wool handmade, carhartt, and other mittens because I don’t like ordering online, and no one around me sells SK mittens, only ear flappers. Needless to say, I finally ordered another pair of these mittens a few weeks ago, and wow did I miss them. They fit wonderfully, so incredibly warm, durable, and comfortable. No other mitten will ever have my money spent on it again. I am also only buying clothing and footwear made in the USA as of the last 6 or so months. These pass that check. I have told anyone that will listen to me talk about these mittens how good they are, and I am here to tell you now too. These are the best and the only things that have kept my hands warm. Don’t waste your money on anything else to be disappointed. A quality, USA made, durable product like these are hard to find…but not at Stormy Kromer, they don’t sell anything else.

These mitts are wonderful for the price and well built. Love supporting Stormy Kromer. The only issue I have was the advertisement on the website. The first pair I purchased, I thought I was getting the black on black. Brown and black is what I received. I contacted customer service and the picture was changed on the website. I ordered a second pair, advertised as black and tan and I received another pair of black and brown. I will keep them and they are fine, however I thought I was purchasing a different color pattern both times because of the pictures on the website. Please make it a top priority to advertise the correct product that the consumer will be receiving.

These mitts have worked out really well - I would not have noticed they were "seconds" and they have served me well in 15-20 degree weather. Good deal, in my mind.

I finally found a pair of mittens that really keep my hands warm! In these below zero temps as of late, I'm more than impressed! And the quality of the mittens - Impeccable!
