Well constructed as always. A little tight for an XL. Ear flaps should be wider, so as to cover the ears more completely, and in turn, make the hat look a little better.
The rain will roll right off our new paraffin-treated 100% cotton cap. A bit more streamlined than our traditional six-panel crown, this workhorse features a wool-blend fleece fold-down earflap and soft cotton flannel lining. Happy adventuring!

Great for horseback rides, and doing chores. Love it.
Good quality, but a little tight for a extra large.
Flaps did not cover my ear lobes and left most of my neck exposed. ~~Sorry to hear your cap didn't work as expected. You can always return the unworn cap within 90 days of purchase. Give our customer service team a call at 888-455-2253 and they will help with the return process. SK ~~
I was considering the waxed rancher when I saw this new product. With the larger bill on the marsh hat I figured it was better when sun hits while driving, also the overall design is better for me. I Have only had it since Christmas and so far its living up to my expectations,, very warm and keeping me dry,,(snow and rain here)... great quality as usual..thanks.
This hat is awesome, water resistant and warm
Nice warm cap use for duck hunting , ear flaps nice on windy hunts
The ear flap is cut at too sharp of an angle in the front, which leaves the front of the ear and ear lobe exposed. With this change I think it would be a great cap. ~~ Thank you for your feedback. I will send this to our design team. SK ~~
Portland winters aren’t about snow and ice but cold rain. Outdoor life is great even in rainy weather. With the right gear every day is a great day. A warm hat that sheds rain will make your Portland winters that much more enjoyable. This is a great one. I use a regular Stormy on cool dry days and the Marsh Cap when there’s rain in the forecast (about 3 days per week). Midwest style in PDX.
