    This jacket is top quality all the way. From the sleek design with simple lines to the yummy soft, substantial wool to the obvious pride in workmanship, it feels as good on as it looks. I can see this as a really nicer substitute for a sweatshirt or light jacket. I think it’s going to be a favorite for years to come.

    Ironwood jacket fits great and looks great. I wish winter would cooperate and the coat wasn’t to warm for the mild winter

    Going by the looks and the build quality of the ironwood, I would give it 5 stars. The reason I gave four stars is simply because the jacket wasn't as warm as I was expecting. Especially considering the jackets price tag. The jacket is a good purchase as long as you know that if it gets colder then say 45 degrees, you're going to be cold.

    I find this jacket very impressive. I've worn the Kromer Mackinac for a decade and I was interested in this since it had many similar features but was zippered and lower priced. The wool is good quality. The fit is good, a little tight in the shoulders but not prohibitively so and the neck is tight when fully zipped( I am 5'11" 215lb with broad shoulders I bought size xl). The zipper is fast and convenient compared to buttons and I suspect more durable. I recently wore it during a couple days with strong bitter cold winds and it kept the chill out well. I suspect this will become my new everyday jacket and I'll save my Mackinac for fancy occasions.
