The Ida with bright pewter-oxidized hardware loses the shoestring and gains a bit of style. It’s a tad more sleek and edgy, without sacrificing everything that makes it quintessentially Kromer: the legendary construction, soft flannel lining, warm wool blend and pull-down earband.
23-25 oz. 80/20 wool/nylon blend (Black)
100% wool HARRIS TWEED (Lowell)
100% cotton flannel lining
Pewter-oxidized metal trim
Six-panel crown construction
Made in the USA with US and globally sourced materials
I am thrilled with my new Stormy Kromer! It fits perfectly and is super comfortable. I love the real Harries Tweed wool material. It is very warm and durable. I know this hat will last me a long time! It also looks super cute! I’m thrilled with the hat.

I got the Ida hat in black and love it. It doesn't keep my ears very warm in really cold weather, but it is super cute.

My husband has two SK’s so it was time to get my very own- love this hat! Very warm. Snug fit but I’m hoping it will expand the more I wear it. I can’t believe I’m saying this but bring on the Wisconsin winters so I can wear it!

My cap and mask arrived in excellent condition and I am very happy with the quality.
To get your size, measure comfortably around your head where your cap will sit, with a tape measure. Take that number in inches, divide by 3.14 (pi) and round up to the nearest eighth. This is your cap size. See the chart for size conversions. You can also print out our hat sizer, click here.
