The Double Mackinaw Coat

The coat is very comfortable in a wide range of temperatures. I wear it to church (charcoal black) and where ever I go. Great product and made in the USA.

The double mackinaw is a beautiful well crafted coat. I loved it when I seen it. I unfortunately had to return it. I’m 5’10 160lbs and ordered a medium. That was a mistake, I would’ve simple exchanged it for a large, but one thing was missing. The rear map pocket, these coats do not have one. That was the only downfall. The weight of the wool and craftsmanship were great!

Filson does not make there double Mackinaw coat anymore and discontinued it. Went with Stormy Kromer and couldn’t be more pleased. Top quality and a good price point for the quality. Just like there hats.

Wonderful! I was very reluctant prior to this purchase, wondering how well it would fit, the quality of the jacket, etc. I have no regrets making the purchase. The quality it superb. I’m 6’01” 275# and I purchased the 2xl. Fits perfect, a little extra room for a vest, I can comfortably sit down, nice and long on the torso. 5 star review from me, great job stormy kromer!

I almost bought a Filson. I traveled by train from Long Island to New York City to their store just so I could try it on. I was not impressed. And especially not for the price. I have never owned any Stormy merchandise before. But I have heard nothing but rave reviews. I took the chance and ordered it online. The double Maco coat? Is the nicest coat I have ever owned. This coat is absolutely amazing. I cannot say enough about it. The material, the quality, the workmanship? Is all second to none. As far as I’m concerned, any other wool coat of this type? By Any other manufacturer? Is a rag. Stormy Kromer just made a new loyal customer.

The quality of this jacket is unmatched. I was going to buy a Filson first but after I went from Long Island to New York City just so I was able to try one on? I was very disappointed in the Philson. I have heard nothing but amazing reviews about the stormy double Mackinaw. So I took the chance and ordered it. This jacket is epic. Finest coat I’ve ever owned. Compared to this jacket? The Filson Mackinaw is a rag. Beautiful fit, amazing quality.

Wonderful garment! full yoke with double sleeves. I particularly like the the snap pockets under the chest yoke. The buttons are large and sturdy. It's been from 20F to 40F here in Connecticut and the coat is comfortable thru the entire range. I am 6"2" and I ordered a 2XL so I have room for layering. Highly recommend. The wool is soft yet strong, made in the USA.
