WOW! I love this hat! Perfect fit and keeps me warm when doing my chores on the farm. Customer service is second to none, always pleasant and with a real desire to help the customer.

I purchased this hat as I have never really been a fan of the look of the traditional Kromer for some reason. This hat is plenty warm for most outdoor activities, especially with the flaps down. One note I do have is that the crown of this hat is shallow compared to some so the fit is more akin to a military utility cover where it sits higher on your head rather than hugging your head like a ball cap does. I don't mind this, I think it makes it a bit classier, but I'm sure some will find it annoying. Overall I am very satisfied with my purchase.

What I really wish is that I could have these earflaps on a classic SK hat. THAT would be amazing. I love the way they flip down, I love the way they cover my ears, and I love that the metal snaps don’t touch my ears when the earflaps is down. I don’t love how shallow the whole hat is overall, but I knew that going into it so I can’t fault anyone for it. I also (I’m discovering…) have a slightly bigger head - my “true” size is a 7.5 (though I got a 7.75 in the original hat and I love the way that one fits with a little breathing room), and an XL in the Bergland wasn’t quite as big as I wanted it. It was big enough to go onto my head fine, but I was wanting a slightly looser fit. But being a SK, the thing of course oozes quality, so I’m still giving it 5 stars. But… maybe put the earflaps on an original? I would almost definitely buy one of those… Keeping my original in the meantime. Keep rockin’, SK.

Company received this hat on Jul 5th and on Jul 27th I still haven't received a hat or any correspondence . No, not true... I can wait. I live in Maine and have an antique “original” SK which is falling apart and doesn’t quite cover my ears with the flaps down. I ordered the Bergland hat for the ear coverage and because of some comments that the Rancher was too roomy up top. I did not want the Rancher to drop down too low on my head and overlap the tops of my ears (when the flaps are up). So, now I have the Bergland hat. It fits well, it does not come down too low with the ear flaps up and, with the ear flaps down, the ear coverage is great.

Excellent quality and construction. Beautiful fabric and color. Too darn small for a large. I have to return it.
