This unlined classic adds instant class to a night on the town or a day in the office. The four-button front, notched lapel and twin pockets make this vest dressy enough to wear on its own, but it’s also a great piece for layering.
Sharp vest! Well made. Wish it was lined though.
I had the wife add the vest to the order when she purchased one of the throws blankets and a couple face masks. Came home early to try it on. Fits perfectly, size is true to the chart. I like the feel and weight of the vest - not overly heavy can be layered in winter. Will definitely continue to purchase Stormy products and support my home home states. Every item I/wife have ordered has impressed me, and been made to some of the best quality. Would love to see some light wool long sleeve shirts that could double as a light throw on jacket. *hint*
Excellent quality, I have several Chromer hats and they are amazing hats and my new vest is the same. You want a high quality products buy Stormy Chromer !!!!!!
I own three Filson vests and last year got the SK Western Vest while visiting the Stormy Kromer shop in Ironwood. I love the comfort, durability, softness, and looks of the SK vest so much, that I haven't worn my Filson vests and recently purchased another SK Western Vest. Like all Stormy Kromer products, this vest is a great value. THANKS!
Bought for my husband for Christmas! Wore it to a wedding this weekend and got tons of compliments! I love how it looks and he loves it too
First of all, the reviews were outstanding about this vest; I spent way too much time reading reviews; My search criteria for a vest was: all wool, buttons, and a collar. A buddy of mine recommended Filson, but I liked the fact that SK was a bit longer in the back, and I liked the forest green color. I did order both vests, and SK came first. I wore it a day in the house, and I loved the comfort, the softness, and the long back; but I was "hung up" about it not being all wool. a week later the Filson arrived; same size and criteria, but in charcoal color. It was a dressier look, a bit closer fit and actually a handsome vest, and it is 100% wool. But a tad bit shorter in the back. I did wear the Filson to a party, and received many compliments on the vest. I wore the SK the next day working outside and I absolutely love the looser more comfortable fit, the deeper, or larger, arm holes, and the longer back. I really like this vest...it meets the criteria I wanted in a vest: one I can wear all the time working outside and inside house to keep upper torso warm and I like the collar that I flip up to keep warmer when outside w/ the pup in 20 degree weather! I am over the "hangup" that it is not all wool. Yet, I wore the Filson today going shopping and did receive again a few complements,,, it is a nice fitting, good looking vest. Yet, right now, I have the SK on, over a sweatshirt, sitting by the fireplace. I intended to review, fit, try out both vests, and send one back, from an affordability standpoint....But they are both great vests. The Filson is a good looking, handsome vest. And the charcoal color is attractive. However, if I had to keep one, i would keep the SK, with the comfortable, loose fit, the longer back, and I love the "old army green" color. Even, with not being 100% wool, it meets the initial criteria I wanted: a warm " go to" vest for all times... casual , but more importantly, a field vest and outstandingly comfortable w/ the looser fit. I am keeping both vests, but the SK will be my go to vest. Thank you for making an outstanding product in America!
I have to admit it was a little difficult forking out so much money for a vest, but it has turned out to be worth it for me. It is an almost every day wear for me. Keeps ya very warm and can be used for doing outdoor chores and is stylish enough to go out to dinner in. Sizing was right on and shipped quickly, quality workmanship I have come to expect from Stormy Kromer.
Make this vest in solid Bright Red and sell thousands of them at Christmas.
