The state of Michigan could have been shaped like a glove, or a t-shirt, or - who knows! - a hummingbird. But it's not. It looks like a mitten, and a stout one at that, which made it easy for the Stormy Kromer® design team to craft these do-anything hand coverings that separate your thumb from your other fingers while keeping all digits toasty warm.
To find your mitten size, measure (in inches) your dominant hand around the widest part - usually this is your knuckles - excluding your thumb. Round up when between sizes.
These mittens are great! Really warm and the leather palms/thumb are really tough and heavy duty. These are great for using the snowblower / shovel on cold / snowy morning. These are well worth the price and keep my hands warm in the coldest outdoor weather Minnesota has to offer.
love these mittens, able to do work with these on, always look good even if palms get wet, have abused these with many jobs but always look great
I bought these Mitts along with the Rancher Cap. We have had what seems like weeks of below zero weather here in Western New York, and I did not have a hat or gloves which kept my head and hands warm...I do now!!! The fit is great easy to get on and off. Work well driving the tractor plowing snow. This is another can't miss product by Stormy Kromer!!!
Super happy with the mitts, the leather palm is sturdy and supple, the insulation is good, materials are great. Below about -10, when the wind kicks up, you can feel it blow through some of the seams though, so for super cold weather this might not be the mitt for you.
Should be required gear for anyone who has to shovel snow, cut wood, scrape cars, hike, work, exist in cold weather! I've done all those things and more with mine for two years now. They're completely comfortable and durable. The elastic at the wrist is perfect, not too restrictive, but keeps out the snow. The palms give you traction and wear and wear and wear. The wool is nice for wiping snow from your face, yet keeps you warm. The fleece lining is comfortable, yet breathable. Kept me warm in 15 below zero, yet never sweat. Added benefit: made in MICHIGAN, the mitten state. Thanks SK for a great product.
The day they arrived we had 15 inches of snow and 30 MPH winds. Worked perfectly and kept my hands warm in the high mountains of NC. Very well made by folks who I am sure take pride in their craft. Thanks!
Absolutely LOVE these mittens! I'm not a typical mitten guy but they are by far the warmest pair of gloves/mittens I've ever had. The durability and comfort are like no other. STRONGLY recommend!!!
Love these mittens. I use them everyday as I get into my truck before it warms up. Hauling firewood or a nigh down town they have that classy style. Highly recommended.
I ordered these mitts the same time I ordered the Rancher hat. Since receiving them I have been outside for hours in below 0 temps blowing snow. I was hesitant at first to wear the mitts as they are so nice for blowing snow but after getting cold hands in my gloves I usually wear blowing snow I decided to try them. I am very pleased with the mitts ability to keep my hands warm while being outside for extended periods of time even when they are covered in snow. Thanks
I wore a pair of these choppers out while I was plowing my driveway during a snowstorm today. I could feel a little wind through the wool when it was gusting, but my hands never got cold. The leather palms are really soft, making it easy to grip the 4-wheeler handles. The sherpa lining kept my hands cooking the whole time. The wool on the outside got a little damp, but I never felt it on my hands. All in all, these are a great pear of mitts. Quality materials. USA made. Hard to go wrong.
