Okay, I freely admit that I am obsessed with Stormy Kromer caps. I have a number of wool for winter, cotton for summer, and waxed for rainy days (all in different colors) and the last thing I needed was one more. However.......my newly purchased Rancher is my new favorite and my current go-to on any given day. Same quality I've come to expect, same fit, but I so appreciate the longer ear flaps and the added insulation. I live in mid-Michigan and I usually wear ear muffs with my Stormy in winter as the flaps aren't quite warm enough. No longer. Now I grab the Rancher and all is well. Will I have to have more in other colors? Possibly. There are worse things to collect than Stormy Kromer caps, right?? :-)

My dad loved it. Fits a little small so we went one size up from his normal hat size. Looks great on him.

This is my second Stormy Kromer. I had when I was in high school growing up in southern Idaho where the wind always blows. I just purchased the Rancher for the foldable ear flaps for late season elk hunting in Utah. Why 4 stars? The full sized brim doesn't allow the headband to completely cover the ears and creates a perfect gap for the wind to enter. This can easily be fixed if the brim was one stitching smaller. This would be more like Filson's old school Wildfowl Cap where the brim is a bit smaller. It also allows for more ease when firing a shotgun while upland and waterfowl hunting. All in all, the hat is great.

This is my third Stormy hat I purchased. This hat is very warm and looks great! I live in Wisconsin now, but am originally from the U.P. of Michigan where these hats are made. Very happy with this purchase!

I am a female, with a 21.5 inch head (a Size 6-3/4 ). It never fails that I fall in between the largest womans size and smallest man's size... Anyway, I was trying to replace a decade's old wool SK hat, starting to fray on the ear covering, I've used to work in and around the horse barn. Thought I'd give this smallest man's size 6-7/8 a try, since several reviewers said it was slightly snug. It fits me perfectly and is just as warm if not more so than the older wool version hat I've had for 20+ years. Also the brim is not so terribly long or wide as to inhibit vision. Overall I am thrilled that this man's cap, for a female hard outside laborer like myself, is functionally perfect, not "girly", and looks quite bullet proof. Can't wait for the really cold weather to "prove" its value. Thx SK!

This Hat is my new chore hat on the farm. It is just what I needed for outdoor winter blasts. Now I have every hat I need.
