The Waxed Cotton Cap

I’ve always wanted to have one of these hats but was apprehensive to order one through the mail mainly because I was afraid that if I didn’t like it or that if it didn’t fit that I would be stuck with a fairly expensive hat that I couldn’t send back. I live in central Illinois and have googled retailers within a few hours for me to drive to look at and try on a hat but have only found one store (in Paducah KY) that had one of your hats for me to look at. They had two hats that were identical but they were not the waxed cotton that I was looking for. If you have any questions or comments don’t hesitate to get ahold of me of me.

Originally bought a 7 5/8 in a store near me and it fit great. After wearing it for a few weeks it stretched out and was a bit loose so i ordered a 7 1/2 and it fit great but has also stretched out more than id like but i already have a 7 3/8 which is too tight. The 7 1/2 i ordered was also stitched crooked so it doesnt tie evenly but its unique and i dont have the patience to wait for a return.

I followed measuring instructions but still ordered the wrong size. Probably my mistake. I returned the cap immediately. It was delivered last week to your facility but have not heard a word. I don’t know if the replacement order has been processed or shipped. I have no idea when it will arrive. I’m very disappointed with this process. This is the best cap ever! I’ve had my 1st one since aprox 2009. I used to manage forests, etc. I wore it often..fishing, trekking, hunting, etc. 2 weeks before I just left for Alaska..I panic. I have over a dozen Kromers. How does one lose a Kromer? I don’t know if I had my kids take it out for me while meandering and it accidentally got dropped. Anywho, thank you 2nd day shipping..the night before I left, the new one came!! It was my best friend the entire Majestic Alaskan time I was out fly fishing, climbing mountains, etc. I love this hat. I’m sad my original is missing in Northern WI somewhere..:(
