You really can wear a Kromer all year round. We kept the classic style of the Original, but cut it from lightweight, water-resistant 100% waxed cotton duck. When the chilly morning gives way to a sunny afternoon, just pull up the earband and you'll be comfortable all day long.

    The cap is well constructed and fits good. The ear flaps don’t fit the contour of the cap don’t cover the entire ear when pulled down. Otherwise it’s a great cap.

    This cap is perfect for 8 months of Presque Isle County, Michigan weather. It repels rain, snow and sleet and keeps my bald head comfy. I haven't worn it in a downpour (yet) and am wondering if the earflaps will funnel the rain down the back of my neck. I'll report back after the next thunderstorm! My only complaint is that the Waxed Cotton cap has relegated my 5 wool Stormy Kromer caps to life in the closet. Is there an SK policy that covers "retired SK caps?"

    I was looking for a cap to ware on damp Spring days out here in Montana. The waxed cap is just what I was looking. I really like the exact sizing with Stormy Kromer much better than the multiple size hats that are so common. Service, delivery and quality was great as always.
