The Waxed Adjustable Curveball Cap

I can’t believe I have lived without this cap for nearly 50 years. This cap was comfortable right out of the box. Seems like it is built for a lifetime of use and I’ll likely need to put all my Kromers in my last will and testament. I’m up to 11 Kromers. You can never have too many.

I have to say I'm a little disappointed in this hat. I own a handful of other SK products that I adore, but this one misses the mark a bit. The material shows every crease and crinkle in a lighter color because of the wax, and they only go away with heat, so even fresh out of the box it looks a lot different and more worn than the photos. As other reviews have stated, the strap is long and has nowhere to tuck in, so it would normally hang off the side. I just folded it under itself and put it back through the clip, which worked well. However, the strap is not the same color as the photos. I ordered the Dark Oak, which the photos show with a light brown strap, but mine is black. Also, the clip that locks in the strap just falls off when it's in the open position. It wasn't hard to get back where it belongs, and once locked the tension holds it in place, but it seems like poor design. I also would not have called the hardware brass like they say. It's like a gunmetal. But maybe I'm just bad with colors and metals. Despite all that, it's a comfortable hat, I like the color, and I like the weight for spring/summer. Overall, I feel like I got something that is similar in many ways to what's shown and described, but isn't it. It will do its job fine; it just seems off.

I wear a baseball cap almost every day in Summer, so I was excited to continue to be able to wear a Stormy Kromer in the Summer months. It is fully adjustable and very comfortable.

I love this hat. The quality is excellent and has kept it shape thus far. I trimmed the excess off the strap once fitted properly. I also adjusted the metal adjustment teeth for optimal tension on the strap. It no longer loosens now. My wife is also a big fan of the hat too. I thought I was going to lose my new hat to her. She tried it on but said the brim was a little long for her. My recommendation is to make a shorter brimmed version of this hat that is a ladies version. I know someone who would buy one or two or . . . Thanks again for making these in the USA. That's why I have so make SK products.
