The Waxed Adjustable Curveball Cap

Our company recently bought custom logo caps from Stormy Kromer. My previous experience was that all their products are top-quality. (When I was a much younger, I bought an ice-fishing teepee from company patriarch, Bob Jacquart Sr.) I really liked the waxed adjustable Curveball cap, so I decided to direct-order a couple more, without our company logo. I read the online reviews of these caps. The reviews were positive, with a few mentioning the adjustable tab in the back of the cap. It seems the earlier (?) design did not have the adjustable tab tuck-in – and the tab just flapped about off the back of the cap. I was pleased the custom logo olive cap I received had the tucked-in tab design. I direct ordered two waxed adjustable curveball caps – an olive and a dark oak. The caps arrived and the dark oak was fine – tucked back tab. The olive cap had the flapping back tab – no place to tuck. I called customer service to ask if I could exchange my new olive cap for one that had the tuckable tab design. Mia stated that she did not know whether they were available. I mentioned that our company had just received custom-ordered olive Curveball caps with the tab tucks. She seemed a bit frustrated with my request and stated she would have to check their inventory and get back to me “next Monday.” I gave her my cell number. On Tuesday, Mia called me back stating that none of their olive waxed adjustable Curveball inventory had the tuckable tab design. I will be returning this olive hat.

i was looking for a ball cap for wet weather, i got this one for christmas. first impressions it is awesome the style and color. we had a winter rain and i walked the dog for about 45 mins. The hat kept me dry and the material did get wet but not soaked through. the reason for the 3 stars is the leather strap used to tighten the hat just hangs out there and does not tuck into a slot along the head band. so i hooks on anything it touches and the locking mechanism opens up and the hat goes loose. even when it doesnt bump on anything like a hood or what ever the lock strap lock (for lack of a better term) doesnt have enough bite and the strap easily slides back and forth with a small tug.

I took this out of my cart a couple of times because of negative review comments concerning the adjustment strap but they have solved it by adding a slit to slide the excess into. Way to listen to your customers Stormy Kromer. I ordered it in charcoal because I figured it would match with anything I wore. (My wife concerns herself with such things.) Got it in the mail today ( quick shipping) and when I put it on it was like saying hello to an old friend. It was already sized for my head and very comfortable out of the box. I can see this being my EDC hat for a long time to come.

Great fitting and looking cap for everyday dog walking tasks.

This could be a 5 star hat if the leather adjustment band would stay put. Mine kept popping loose and my girlfriend said she could only take pictures of the left side of the hat since on the right side the strap was sticking out. I actually got so frustrated with the leather strap that i cut a slit in the back of the hat for the strap to slide into. Now i have been approved for right side of my face pictures and the leather adjustment strap has not moved once.

I love this hat! I work outside in the woods in Alaska, need a waterproof hat this is it!

With out a doubt the the best waxed ball cap, right on par with the rest of the stormy products I own.

Nice hat, waxed finish makes it a little warmer, bought 2.

Here you go- I have responded one time already and have not had a follow up from the company. Hat is nice-the clasp in back that holds the leather adjustment strap is not working and does not stay clamped down.
