  • We recommend measuring your child's head for the best fit. While our sizes are labeled Newborn, Infant, Toddler, and Child as a general guide, children's head sizes can vary quite a bit. Measure your child's head where the cap will sit, divide that measurement by 3.14 (π), then round up to the nearest 1/8 to determine the correct hat size.

  • The Lil' Stormy Kromer Cap is designed for cool-weather adventures and everyday wear. While it provides light warmth, it isn't intended as a heavily insulated winter hat. Its biggest appeal is giving kids their own Stormy Kromer to match Mom, Dad, Grandpa, Grandma, or another favorite grown-up.

  • No. The Lil' Stormy Kromer Cap is lined with soft cotton flannel, and the sweatband is made from a comfortable polycotton blend. The wool outer shell provides warmth and durability, while the materials against your child's skin are designed for everyday comfort.

  • The earband moves up and down like our adult caps, but because of the smaller size, it's attached differently. It adds to the classic Stormy Kromer look but isn't designed to provide significant ear coverage or protection in harsh winter weather.

  • Dry cleaning is the best way to care for your Lil' Stormy Kromer Cap. For small spills or stains, spot cleaning is often enough. If your cap gets wet from rain or snow, let it air dry naturally away from direct heat or sunlight. Never put your wool cap in the dryer, as the heat can cause it to shrink.

    I bought this adorable little hat in red plaid as a baby gift for friends. They are active outdoors people and displaced Yoopers, now living in Indiana. I ordered it on a Monday and it was in my mailbox on Wednesday, packaged very nicely, the hat even wrapped in Stormy Kromer tissue paper!! I couldn’t ask for faster service or a better quality product. Keep up the great work, Stormy

    Ordered matching hats for me and my grandson on dec 17 for christmas. I paid extra for shipping for quick delivery. Tonight is Christmas Eve and no hats received......Merry Christmas ~~ Cary, I did a little investigating - looks like your package was delivered to a mailbox in Roseau on December 21st.     This cap would be nice if it was deep enough for a 3 year old, that's the XL even!!!! ~~ Mark, sorry this cap isn't fitting properly. Older tikes might need to go up to small adult sizes. Please give our customer service a call at 888-455-2253 and they can help you with an exchange. SK ~~
