  • We recommend measuring your child's head for the best fit. While our sizes are labeled Newborn, Infant, Toddler, and Child as a general guide, children's head sizes can vary quite a bit. Measure your child's head where the cap will sit, divide that measurement by 3.14 (π), then round up to the nearest 1/8 to determine the correct hat size.

  • The Lil' Stormy Kromer Cap is designed for cool-weather adventures and everyday wear. While it provides light warmth, it isn't intended as a heavily insulated winter hat. Its biggest appeal is giving kids their own Stormy Kromer to match Mom, Dad, Grandpa, Grandma, or another favorite grown-up.

  • No. The Lil' Stormy Kromer Cap is lined with soft cotton flannel, and the sweatband is made from a comfortable polycotton blend. The wool outer shell provides warmth and durability, while the materials against your child's skin are designed for everyday comfort.

  • The earband moves up and down like our adult caps, but because of the smaller size, it's attached differently. It adds to the classic Stormy Kromer look but isn't designed to provide significant ear coverage or protection in harsh winter weather.

  • Dry cleaning is the best way to care for your Lil' Stormy Kromer Cap. For small spills or stains, spot cleaning is often enough. If your cap gets wet from rain or snow, let it air dry naturally away from direct heat or sunlight. Never put your wool cap in the dryer, as the heat can cause it to shrink.

    It matches dad's perfect except no ear flaps which is sad because our little guy could use them when it's cold outside. ~ The earflaps do work on the kids cap - just give it a tug down. If you can't get them to work, give our customer service a call for assistance - 888-455-2253.

    The had is very cute and great quality. The size chart is the problem. More than once we have ordered these hats and every time they have been too small ~~ Sorry to hear the cap didn't fit as expected. Depending on the childs head shape/size, we might suggest buying the smaller size adult caps. You can give our customer service a call to find the right hat - 888-455-2253.

    We live in the Midwest. We bought this hat hoping it would keep our little guys ears warm. Unfortunately when it arrived we realized there is no ear flaps to actually keep ears warm. We were very disappointed!! Don’t waste your money. ~~ Sorry that the cap didn't work for your little one. Please call our customer service team and they can help you with an exchange. 888-455-2253.     My husband loves his Stormy Kromer so we bought the Lil Kromer so he could be like dad. For a 10 month old he does a pretty good job keeping the hat on his head.

    I bought this for my new born, great great nephew who lives in Montana. It was the perfect gift, because his Mommy wears Stormy Kromer and of course I had to get him one to match his Papa's Stormy Kromer hat! Just got it sent off and I know it's going to be one of their favorite gifts.
