  • We recommend measuring your child's head for the best fit. While our sizes are labeled Newborn, Infant, Toddler, and Child as a general guide, children's head sizes can vary quite a bit. Measure your child's head where the cap will sit, divide that measurement by 3.14 (π), then round up to the nearest 1/8 to determine the correct hat size.

  • The Lil' Stormy Kromer Cap is designed for cool-weather adventures and everyday wear. While it provides light warmth, it isn't intended as a heavily insulated winter hat. Its biggest appeal is giving kids their own Stormy Kromer to match Mom, Dad, Grandpa, Grandma, or another favorite grown-up.

  • No. The Lil' Stormy Kromer Cap is lined with soft cotton flannel, and the sweatband is made from a comfortable polycotton blend. The wool outer shell provides warmth and durability, while the materials against your child's skin are designed for everyday comfort.

  • The earband moves up and down like our adult caps, but because of the smaller size, it's attached differently. It adds to the classic Stormy Kromer look but isn't designed to provide significant ear coverage or protection in harsh winter weather.

  • Dry cleaning is the best way to care for your Lil' Stormy Kromer Cap. For small spills or stains, spot cleaning is often enough. If your cap gets wet from rain or snow, let it air dry naturally away from direct heat or sunlight. Never put your wool cap in the dryer, as the heat can cause it to shrink.

    If you have a Kromer cap as an adult, the kids are not the same. Much thinner and do not fit right. No ear flaps either. We were pretty disappointed especially for the price we paid. ~~ Sorry to hear you're disappointed with the 'Lil cap. Since kids have differently shaped heads than adults, the cap pattern is a bit diffferent. The wool is the same as adult sizes and there is a functioning earband - it's just scaled down to fit kids better.     Bought for my niece’s anticipated Christmas son. According to my daughters, the cap earned loud approvals at the baby shower.     This lil Kromer is as cute as a bug's ear and will look great on the grandson come the cold weather. We'll be twins! The can wrap of the same cloth is the best I've ever used. Warm and dry to the touch and it doesn't have to be wrestled off when I'm ready for another beverage. When I'm done, it folds into any pocket and is there again when I want it.
