I just got my 2nd IKC and I love this one too. Michigan winters are tough and so are my Ida Kromer Caps. I have the eggplant color and the wintergreen. Get lots of looks and compliments. Wear it in my horse barn when doing chores, riding, working outside, shopping and it keeps my head and ears nice and toasty. Love the fact they are made in Michigan USA. -PJ

The Blue Spruce color looks light on my computer screen, but I just received the cap and mittens that I ordered and they are nearly black, so be aware of that when you are picking colors. -Deborah

I got my hat as a Christmas present and am loving it! My friend had me measure my head with a tape measure and the size she got me is a perfect fit. I look really dorky in a sock cap, but this hat is actually cute on my head! I was riding my 4 wheeler in it yesterday and pulled down the ear flaps and found them sufficiently long when I snugged the hat down lower on my head. In extreme cold weather it may not be warm enough, but it is great for our Tenneessee winters! -Nancy in Tennessee

I ordered the Ida in raspberry as a Christmas gift to myself and I LOVE IT. First of all it is really really cute on. And that's a big deal because normally I hate the way I look in hats. Secondly, it keeps my head nice and warm. I must disagree with those who say the hat does not provide adequate coverage for the ears - I find that when I pull the flap thing down over my ears, they are covered just fine and I am toasty! (And I live in Buffalo, NY where we are known for our winters). Thirdly, the raspberry color is great. Nice and bright and cheerful. Now, the one thing I will say is that it may be a little tiny bit snug. I ordered according to my head measurement and I think the next one I order will be a size up. And there WILL BE a next one. In fact as soon as I finish this review I will be placing an order for the wintergreen plaid. It should look great with my red wool coat. And finally, I want to say I am thrilled to be able to purchase such a great product that is made right here in the USA. Thanks, Stormy!! -Lil

I got my Mapleberry Ida Kromer hat today, LOVE IT!!! It is very flattering and has beautiful colors. I agree with some of the other reviews that the ear flappers could be made of thicker fabric for more warmth. I must point out though, that the sizes seem to run a little small. I wear a 7 1/8 cowboy hat and I ordered a 7 1/4 (one size larger than I normally wear, just in case) and it just barely fit. My advice: consider ordering one size bigger than you normally wear. Also, the shipping cost ($7.99) was pretty darn high, the post office lady told me it only cost like $2.75 to ship. -Heather in MT

I have this in the raspberry color...it is so cute! I absolutely love it. However, there is really no way to cover my ears all the way. I notice in looking online that there aren't many options for anything to cover the ears...please work on this! I really enjoy Stormy Kromer and supporting a local company, but help me keep my ears warm! :) -Kayla
