While looking at a Stormy Kromer adjustable trail cap, it occurred to me that my beloved Original cap is over 20 years old!!! Wow, how time flys.....I'm an avid outdoorsman and hunter and if this hat could tell stories, no one would believe it's still around, let alone look as good as it does. Thank you Stormy Kromer for all the years of service, warmth and memories this cap has given me. Anyone even considering buying one, don't hesitate, it's the best of the best!

I'm extremely pleased with my new hat, it's everything I had hoped for and more. The material is extremely warm and the ability to order at a specific size is terrific. And the sizing, by the way, is dead-on perfect. You know what's actually funny, is wearing this hat here in Southern California, is how many people ask 'Where'd you get that hat" or the now familiar 'I'm from Michigan, I love those hats". Just goes to show what a massive following these hats truly have. I've since ordered one for my wife and daughter (for Christmas) and I have no doubt they'll love them as much as I do. As for the warranty, honestly, what more could you ask! A hat with an actual serial number. That's something you don't see every day. To the crew at Stormy Kromer, 'Thank you!' You're a wonderful example of an American company where quality remains top priority.

I have just worn the new blaze orange hat I purchased a while back. It is no where near the quality of three that I have. Not very windproof, the wool is very smooth and way thinner. I have nothing but praise for my other caps. This one is a real disappointment ~ Hi Randy, We're really sorry you aren't happy with the quality. I love these hats i have 4. I love the quality. They do run a little small but then again I have a huge noggin. I look cool and warm at the same time. Would love green colors. Hunter, the Mallard you used to have and the green black hunter plaid. Buy one you wont be disappointed.

Quite Disappointed on a number of levels, I ordered the Original Stormy Kromer hat in Blaze Orange on Nov. 23rd. Seeing that they ship within 1-2 days I was looking forward to use for the following week-end hunting. By November 25th I had not received any notification that my hat had been shipped. I also received an e-mail from them for a 20% off sale. I emailed the company asking that since my hat was not shipped yet could I receive the 20% discount. They replied no. All week I received emails pushing the sale plus free shipping (grrr.) I waited until Saturday morning November 29th for the hat as I was leaving that day for hunting. It had not arrived, but I did receive a notification it would be delivered (and was) delivered December 2nd (9 days after being ordered…I’m only 2 states away…about an 8 hour drive). The hat did not arrive in time to use it, I tried it on today and it is too small. I wear a size 7 hat, using Stormy Kromers measurement formula I was in between a size 7 1/8 and 7 ¼. I ordered the 7 ¼. So now I have a hat that arrived too late, I was denied any discounts or free shipping, it is too small and I’d have to pay to ship it back. The hat itself is fair but not as robust as Filson’s wool Big Game Upland hat and the pull down ear covers do not cover the ear. If Stormy Kromer had shown me a little love somewhere in my mis-adventure with them I would have kept them in my clothing rotation…I really wanted this to work out especially since they are a smaller operation and been around a long time. I will just continue using Cabela’s and Filson from now on…..Your mileage may vary…maybe my experience was just an aberration. ~ Hi, We're sorry you had some issues along the way during your purchase process and shipping time. On November 24th, I returned my cap, which I really liked. I sent it back because it was too small. On the return form, I specified the size I think would fit me. I await your response. Thank you for your attention. Manuel

What can I say about this hat that already hasn't been said? Its classic and iconic. People always tell me "I love your hat." When I meet other men wearing a Kromer, we give each other a friendly nod of approval. Its like our own version of the Jeep "wave." My ONLY critique is that the sizing is a hair inconsistent. I've had 7 1/2 that have fit perfectly and I've had 7 1/2 that are a bit large or small. I understand that this is normal for a hand-sewn product. There will always be a bit of a margin of error. I still love them and I'm gonna get many more.

I am a L O N G time wearer of Kromer caps coming from a railroad background. The caps are very similar to the ones I wore during the 1960-70's. The exception might be that the wool is now a little more nappier(?). The sizing is also off. I wear a 7 3/8 cap/hat. In the kromer, I must order a 7 5/8 to pull down and the ear cover to protect my ears. Just as info. All in all, I am happy!
