What payment methods do you accept?

Stormy Kromer Mercantile accepts Visa, MasterCard and Discover

How do I check the status of my order?

If you chose to setup an online account, you can check the status of your order by logging in and clicking My Account. Or you can check the status of your current order by contacting Customer Service at info@stormykromer.com or by calling us at 888-455-2253.

Can I order over the phone?

Sure! Just call our friendly customer service folks at 888-455-2253 Monday through Friday between 8 am and 5 pm central standard time.

Shipping
What shipping options are available?

Customers in the US can chose UPS Ground, 2 day or overnight. Orders shipping outside the US are shipped via US Postal Service.

How soon will my order ship?

Most orders ship within 1 to 2 business days. Although we’ll try, items that are ordered together may not ship together.  If you're in a rush and NEED your order to ship the same day, please order over the phone at 888-455-2253.

Can you ship to my PO Box?

Yes, PO box orders will be shipped via Priority Mail but must be placed over the phone at 888-455-2253.

Returns and Exchanges
Oh no! I received my order but it doesn’t fit. How do I exchange it?

Exchanged items must be in new, unworn condition with the tags still attached. To exchange an item, simply pack it with the original packing slip. Please note on the packing slip which item you’re exchanging and what item, size and color you would like to replace it with. Please note exchanges can take 2 to 3 weeks from leaving your door to receiving the replacement product. Send exchanges to:

May I return my order for a refund?

You may return any item within 90 days of purchase as long as it is in new, unworn condition with the tags still attached. If you feel your item is defective, please call our customer service department first at 888-455-2253. Please include your original packing slip noting the reason for return. Please note returns can take 2 to 3 weeks from leaving your door to refund. Send returns to:

How can I check on the status of my exchange or return?

Sizing
How do I figure out my cap size?

To get your size, measure around the largest part of your head, above the eyebrows, with a tape measure. Take that number of inches and divide it by 3.14 (pi) and that number is your size. If you are between sizes, round up. See the chart below for size conversions.

Gifts
I’m giving a gift and don’t know the recipient’s size. What should I do?

Gift certificates always fit. See them here. Or, take the guesswork out with a Flexible Fit Original or Ida Kromer cap.

I received a gift but I don’t have the packing list.  Can I exchange it?

Sure! Exchanged items must be in new, unworn condition with the tags still attached. To exchange an item without the packing slip, simply pack it with a note stating your return address and what item, size and color you would like to replace it with. Send to:

How should I clean my wool Stormy Kromer Cap?

Three words: Dry Clean Only. A good dry cleaner will do a world of good for your Stormy Kromer Cap. A hand washing will yield some shrinking and misshaping. A machine-washing… well let’s just say kids visit this website and we don’t want to scare them.

How should I clean my Waxed Cotton Stormy Kromer Cap?

The best method here is to spot clean with a damp cloth and a tiny amount of mild soap. You can restore the waxy finish with any of the commonly available waxcloth finishes. Don’t even let your Waxed Cotton Cap get in the same room as a dryer.

How should I clean my Stormy Kromer Coat or Vest?

Again Dry Cleaning is the best method to keep your coat or vest looking great.

How should I clean my Stormy Kromer shirt?

Throw it in the washer and dryer! If you’re feeling ambitious, give it a quick iron afterward.

Product Information
Where are Stormy Kromer products made?

Most caps, Mackinaw Coats, Vests and Chopper mitts are made in USA. Shirts are imported. Country of origin is displayed at the bottom of the product description for each item.

Can I have a custom logo put on Stormy Kromer caps and products?

We are able to provide custom embroidery at an extra charge. To find out more, call Sarah at 888-455-2253.

Factory Tours
Does Stormy Kromer offer factory tours?

We do, and they’re free. Tours are offered every weekday at 1:30 pm. No reservations are needed…just drop by. Large groups of 15 or more are also welcome at the normal tour time or can schedule a special tour. For directions or to schedule a group tour, call us at 888-455-2253 or email us.
