- Quality issues with the stitching Review by Bryan in Michigan

I would love to give this shirt a higher grade, as the design is really nice, with the double-button pockets and reinforced elbows. The material is also very nice, as others have stated. People remark on the shirt when I wear it.Overall
Unfortunately, nearly every button-hole on the front of the shirt has come unraveled, and with very little use. Buttons are very easy to mend, but button-holes are not. I have re-sewed three of them by hand and will soon have to do the others. It's not a fun job, and should not be necessary with a shirt that costs this much.
I think it's a shame when any company touting its 'Made in the U.S.A.' quality puts out an inferior product.
Love the hats, though!
From SK: Hi Bryan...we're so sorry to hear about this. This is certainly not the kind of quality we are hoping to provide, and we believe this is an isolated incident. Have you spoken with our Customer Service department? We'd love to make this right. Please feel free to call them at 888.455.2253 to discuss further. I would like to see flannel shirt's with snap's instead of button's. Some people have a hard time with button's where snap's are easier to close the shirt with especially when you get older. (Posted on 10/10/12)Overall - Bought the Red Flannel Shirt for Husband's Birthday Review by Deborah Louise

I have to say, it was worth ordering this shirt to get the confirmation email. Don't ask why, just do it.Overall
Gave the red flannel shirt to my husband this morning. He was thrilled. The Large fit him perfectly, and if I didn't love him so much already, I would have fallen for him all over again as soon as he put it on. The fabric is perfect. The cut is a good, man's cut. It's just what a flannel shirt should be and none of what it shouldn't.
My husband will wear this shirt until it disintegrates. That generally takes about 15 years, based on my observations of his sartorial habits (wear what you love, over and over) and the quality of the shirt.
He had not heard of Stormy Kromer, but as he is a Toledo boy who used to vacation up at Mullett Lake, I knew he'd appreciate that it was from the UP - the WAY UP and WAY WEST - part of MI.
And for reasons lost to time, his nickname at work is Cromer. How could I not buy him this shirt?
I first heard of Stormy Kromer when I stopped into Allen-Edmonds to spoil my husband rotten for Christmas with some MacNeils (which will look amazing with his jeans and Stormy Kromer flannel shirt). They had these wonderful hats, and I looked at the label and went back to work to investigate. I wanted to buy him one, but as the house is strewn with his perfectly good caps, I couldn't justify another. I tried to get the dogs to chew some of them, but they couldn't bring themselves to abandon their decorum and stoop that low. I would have taken things into my own hands, but I couldn't abandon my decorum either, and we don't have a garbage disposal. I guess I have no alternative other than to wait for a few to blow off when he's out in a gale. In the meantime, maybe I'll get one for myself. Either way, a cap shall be ordered in time for Fall.
I tried to get him the shirt for Christmas, but there was a rush on, apparently, as the Red was not available in Large. So I waited for his birthday. Moral of the story: order the shirts early. Don't wait until mid-December if you want to give one for Christmas unless the recipient is either very large or very small and looks good in every color.
We watched the video this morning after he opened the shirt. It was terrific fun to see the stitchers give birth to a hat.
Many thanks to the good folks at Stormy Kromer for making my husband's birthday one he'll remember.

I have the grey one and it is my favorite flannel (especially over other brands). Not too thick or heavy, not too tight, very comfortable. The two button pockets prevent the flaps from looking sloppy. Terrific shirt, thanks SK!! (Posted on 3/8/12)Overall - Dissapointed Review by Dave

I asked my wife for a Christmas gift - MADE IN THE USA>Overall
She got me one of your shirts. For the record - I really like the shirt, and enjoy wearing it.
My problem is with the sma;; tag inside the shirt that tells me - The shirt is made in America of Imported Parts.
I am sure that you have met the legal definition of Made in America. Good luck with that!
You have not met mine. I regularly point this out to anyone/everyone who will listen.
Dear Dave - Thanks for your feedback. Sourcing textiles in the USA is very difficult. So many mills have shut down over the last 20-30 years. It can be even more difficult for a small company like us who does not buy in huge quantities. We are always looking for new US suppliers...for example we are currently speaking with a USA button factory that we did not know about and hope to do business with them soon. We will always work to buy as much from the US as we can. Our materials come from all over... the US, Canada, Great Britain, Asia, etc...depending on what we are looking for and other factors like minimums, price and quality. Again, thank you for your feedback (Posted on 2/17/12) - Slate Flannel Review by Dave

Received this as a Christmas gift. I have the XXL which was a little big until it was washed. Shrinkage is unacceptable, yes I followed the directions. Sleeves just fit now, if it shrinks again I will have to make it short sleeves. I own two hats and love them. Quality of this shirt must be improved for the price. (Posted on 1/8/12)Overall - WoW ! I just got the green/black plaid shirt. Talk about quality in the details ! I also have the twill shirt. This flannel shirt has all the quality and craftsmanship that I found in the twill shirt. You need one of these. I need another one.... (Posted on 12/26/11)Overall - My new favorite shirt Review by John

Bought my first Stormy Kromer shirt about a month ago. Love this shirt. Nice weight to the flannel, very well made, looks great and very comfy. Great to find an American made shirt that is so affordable. I plan on buying the whole family one of these for Xmas. (Posted on 11/25/11)Overall
