poor earflaps Review by cold in colorado
Overall
Have had many woolie caps from rancher supplies. All had inside ear flap(fit snug over ears) and the outside flap like these caps.Yours only have the one and wind gushes in. Flap blows in the wind like butterfly wings. Have to wear stocking cap to hold snuggly. Otherwise would be very good cap. (Posted on 1/14/11)
Please make Rancher Cap in some type camo. Review by Greywolf
Overall
Just received Rancher Cap in Blaze Orange and want to purchase another in some type camo. Please try to research
the marketing aspects( good and bad) of the hat in camo for both hunters and "special soldiers".I know when I wear my new cap in elk camp next season, everyone will want one. My belief is that everybody that owns a blaze orange cap will want to own a camo cap if manufactured, especially because it's made in U.S.A.. (Posted on 1/8/11)

I've owned the original kromer for years but that wind down your neck we all know how bad it is the rancher cap fixed that. Once you get used to the size change of the hat you'll never take it off great cap a kromer rancher and some hair on your face and the winds got nothing on you thanks again for a good american product. Great Hat! Review by Mike

I had been thinking about getting a Stormy Kromer Rancher Cap for some time but wanted to see one in person first. I stumbled across them at Cabela's and was immediately impressed. Good material & workmanship. It fits like a glove and is plenty warm. The wind won't blow it off and my Wife likes the way it looks. Thanks SK! (Posted on 1/3/11)
A real cold beater! Review by Audiojunky
Overall
This hat is meant to keep you warm in the elements. It is so much thicker than the original and a whole lot warmer. ( although the original is no slouch in the warmth dept!!) I work outdoors in Michigan and I don't think my head will get cold with this hat. Be advised that the whole size of the hat is like twice the normal Stormy size.. took me some getting used to, felt like a light weight helmet at first. Well done Stormy K. (Posted on 12/29/10)
...and I thought the original was warm Review by Gregory
Overall
I love my original stormy hat, but this one takes it to the next level for those really cold and really windy days. The ear flap slides down the same way as on the original, but also has another layer that flips down to completely cover your ears and much of your neck. Very awesome!! Made in the USA! boy scout campouts Review by pappy
Overall
I just purchased a new rancher cap. I wanted a cap that was both very durable and warm for when we do our winter campouts. I put my trust in a stormy kromer hat because I know that this cap won't let me down. keep up the great work. (Posted on 12/25/10)
Love My Stormy Kromer Review by Slamdunke7
Overall
Finally after 54 years I finally got a Stormy Kromer hat . . . in the best possible way, too. As a Christmas gift! Plaid Rancher, so warm it is impossible to wear in the house! Puttin this thing on my head makes these cold Michigan winters bearable . . . and stylish! (Posted on 12/25/10)
Almost too hot! Review by Bob
Overall
Over the years, I've purchase several Kromers and a few Kromer style "knock-offs".

My favorite Kromer is the navy blue one worn by my Grandfather when he worked on the Soo Line railroad. The tag says Kromer Blizzard Kap and it was made in Milwaukee. The old hat is a little different (quality wise) than the newer versions, but the chicks dig them all.

I purchased the Rancher style in late 2008 as the "originals" do not cut it for me in the winter when it is snowing and blowing and I have to feed the sheep. (Someone has to grow the wool for your hats!)

I like that I can pull the flaps down a little lower when I really need to. And when it's more like a Montana winter (they are mild in spite of what your advertizing department claims) I have to flip the flaps up or I'll over heat.

The rancher style is just about too warm to wear when I'm moving around and the temperature is above zero. I definately can't wear it playing hockey on the pond.

Keep up the good work. (Posted on 12/22/10)
Liked it so much ,I bought a second one 3 days later. !!!! Review by Brad from Monroe
Overall
I purchased a Rancher to hunt in on Saturday, wind chill -10, not even a chill. No Deer , but sat in the stand for 6 hours, without being cold a bit. I loved the hat so much , I purchased an original Kromer on Tuesday, and looking forward to buying one in camo and waxed cotton for the duck blind. Love the hats ,and love that its made in Michigan. Buy one and I Know you'll own more in the future. - Brad (Posted on 12/21/10)
